XCom2: War of the Chosen Review

XCOM 2 War of the chosen is an expansion pack for the amazing game Xcom2. So the storyline the war with the aliens have been lost by humanity and a new world order has been set by the alien threat. X Com the secret paramilitary organization is almost forgotten, take control of xcom and eliminate the alien threat to free humanity and save the world, but this time the aliens send their three assassins or bosses to end Xcom.

Reborngamers Review :

This expansion is so amazing, variety is the key name for the war of the chosen. We just want to praise the developers for trying to give us so much variety in one single game. Some of the features are Three new enemy bosses, another enemy faction “The Lost “, a few advent troop upgrades. Three New Allied Factions with recruitable heroes and characters, the new bonding between soldiers system, this expansion has so much in it.

Xcom lacked bosses to fight in all its games in the series but this expansion has fulfilled that requirement. So the aliens have 3 New Heroes ( Assassins ).The enemy assassins in this expansion are so challenging, they will surely hunt you throughout the game until you find their respective bases and destroy them. They will harass you, engage in combat whether its a Main or side mission they will be there.

Advent troops also get upgraded units like the Viper King and much more which are much tougher to kill. The assassins will try to upgrade themselves in the game which will make them much tougher to destroy.They have introduced the new enemy faction called “The Lost “, who are humans turned into ferals through alien toxics, these things come in hordes and will never stop coming after you, there's just too many of them, often you have to flee from them.

Xcom has been given a support of three resistance factions. The three new factions are Templars, Reapers, and Skirmishers, you will be able to recruit heroes and characters from the factions to your fighting force.Each faction has its own engaging skills for you to explore. The three friendly factions will provide their own upgrades and help you often with side missions, the most interesting thing about the factions are their playable characters, their skills which can easily overtake Xcom soldiers. They are so powerful compared to your normal Xcom soldiers. The Xcom soldiers get their upgrades through various new types of armor and weapons.

Verdict :

This game is just superb. We will keep replaying this game until the next game in the franchise arrives. This expansion has taken the Xcom series to a new level, so much to do in this game.

XCOM 2 is a turn-based tactics video game developed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K Games for Microsoft Windows, OS X, and Linux in February 2016, and for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in September 2016.

What a game, Simply Awesome. When I first started playing xcom 1 enemy Unknown, I was just dazzled that a turn-based tactics game be this thrilling and so satisfying. Xcom 2 has done justice to its predecessor, variety, and replayability is the focus of X com 2. New improvements like loot, randomized objectives, and unpredictable maps, with a large variety of alien enemies.

The storyline continues after enemy within, humans have lost the war and now the aliens rule the world with the support of the Advent (an organization with genetically modified humans).The player takes control of whats remaining of Xcom to take back earth from the aliens. The storyline is great with amazing cut scenes.The flying fortress "The Avenger" will be your command center. From there you can build, manage your squad and facilities.Decision making is the key factor when building your force and upgrading them. The map can offer you various activities and keeps you busy until the end of the game.

The game's combat system is unique, thrilling and exciting. The foes in xcom2 will be tough, brutal and variety of enemies xcom has to offer is so great.The AI is super competitive, you cant predict the AI's moves.  When your favorite character is injured or killed you will feel the emotion towards that character.The choices and decisions you make will determine how your characters advance through the whole game.The game's customization features have reached newer heights whether its the color of the weapon or the armor of the characters, players will a spend a huge amount of time in customization, it's that addictive.

Verdict :

This game is just wonderful, with a strong storyline and most satisfying cutscenes, every move you make is important,  With resource management and to select which targets to hit in the world, this games gives you its full potential, If you haven’t played Xcom series, go and get this game it's so good.
