Subnautica Review :

Subnautica is a survival adventure game published and developed by Unknown Worlds Entertainment. This game is all about pure survival.

Reborngamers Review :

Subnautica starts off when your Starship Aurora along with nearly 100 passengers starts to malfunction due to an unknown explosion, and the player is forced to take escape pod. While on the escape pod you lose consciousness, when you regain consciousness you are in an escape pod which has landed in a remote alien Waterworld planet 4546B. Your starship has also crash landed near your location. To survive you have to explore the vast and beautiful ocean, scavenge for supplies and try to explore the reason why Aurora went down. Most importantly survive until the rescue comes. Although exploring and scavenging is familiar with survival games, Subnautica does it better and rewards the players more effectively.

This planet 4546b is an Open world alien water world filled with rewarding possibilities. It's colorful, lively and more engaging when comes to exploring. The curiosity will take over the player in exploring this beautiful and rich with detail environment. This game rewards explorers. The amazing thing about the game is the player will not get bogged down till the game’s end in exploring. This Waterworld has wonderful and ever lively creatures around you. Whether you hunt them for food or for water it is more satisfying. The underwater caves and dark places of the ocean will make the game more thrilling to play, and not to forget the big creatures with terrifying sounds will make you more cautious. The story is not magnificent but it's also not boring, it is a light story but it is acceptable for a survival adventure game. The twists and turns are definitely there in this game. Apart from the underwater world where your majority of time will be spent exploring,  you will also find smaller islands on this alien planet.

The game begins with basic survival requirements like food, water, Oxygen and a health bar. Your escape pod is your starting base and you have a fabricator (You're ultimate all in one survival Equipment). The player has to scavenge for supplies which are underwater. Subnautica doesn’t make scavenging a hard and complex thing to do, whereas it rewards the players in an excellent manner. Once you repair the Radio comms in your escape pod you will receive distress calls from surviving crew members of your downed starship. You will need to craft items like Sea glide to make it faster through the depths.

Crafting your first item Knife will start and end with building a submarine and fully operational base which you build underwater. The base building is most satisfying and engaging in this game. The more resources you collect the more you can build. Searching wreckages to scan for a blueprint so you can build it on your ever-developing base is an amazing experience. Growing your own food and building your equipment for each and every purpose is very well handled in this game. The game will become more engaging when you have your essential items and buildings, and start to look for answers about getting back home. We didn’t want to spoil the game for you, but let us assure you something it's so interesting when you advance. The distress calls and messages left by the survivors will make you explore more. Remember this is a survival game its not about you being the hunter or the hunted.

All good things and minor issues with this game. Sometimes the player may have issues with base buildings. It is not clearly explained to the player considering its a survival game, but they could have let the player know the basics of it.It gets equipment demanding when your base starts to grow. Minor graphical weirdness nothing more.

Verdict :

This game is the ultimate result of a well detailed, beautiful and most rewarding of a survival adventure game. With minor complaints, this game is a real underwater survival at its best.
