Dragon Ball Fighter Z is a 2.5D fighting game published by Bandai Namco Entertainment and developed by Arc System Works.

Dragon ball fans and Fighting games fans are combined together and can celebrate the new release of Dragon Ball Fighter Z. The beloved series which has been for over 34 years now has produced a masterpiece to the fighting genre. The game looks gorgeous, the best thing about Dragon Ball Fighter Z is that arc system works has kept it simple. This game makes the player find their favorite character to participate in the game’s 3VS3 tag team battles. The best thing this game has to offer is the Amazing Special moves are much easier to perform.

This game also has a single-player campaign, where Goku finds that he is not controlling his body and some unknown spirit (Player) has taken control of the body. So the player has to fight the clones to get back the real versions of the team of your favorite Dragon Ball characters. This is a just fun way of introducing the players to the real game.

The visuals of the game are said to be in 2.5D, but the characters are 3d models which have been made to look like 2d.This system gives the visuals of the game an amazing boost. It’s a lot of work the developers have put into this game and it looks absolutely stunning when performing those special moves. But with over 24 characters to chose from some long-time fans might not see their favorite characters on the roster.If you are new to Dragon Ball Fighter Z then you may learn a good amount of knowledge from this game. With an smooth and flowing combat backed up with cinematic and stylised combo moves, this game has a good storyline to back up the amazing series. Cutscenes are amazing like you are really watching the anime series. The usual mediums of attacks Light, Medium and Heavy attacks are there with the Special attack. Learning these normal attacks and some special combos may be enough to beat your friends. But while matching against more experienced players you need to figure out the combos and defend effectively.

So far this game is amazing. The online system where you can play against more experienced players is not that good. Matchmaking may take a lot of time. Creating a lobby for your friends is broken for many players, and navigating your way to a friends lobby is another issue. But the Developers have promised the fan base that they will work on the broken features and rectify the issues.

Verdict:

Dragon Ball Fighter Z is a fighting game which the dragon ball fans can be proud of. This game will definitely amaze you with its amazing 2.5D characters and combos. Best suited for fighting games fans and dragon ball fighter series fans.
