IGN: 9.0

Middle Earth: Shadow of war is a sequel to the amazing shadow of Mordor game. This game has been published by Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment and developed by Monolith Productions. Shadow of Mordor was a wonderful game. Are you ready Lord of the Rings fans? Has this game fulfilled the eagerness of the fans? Let us have a look with our all-seeing eye into Mordor.

Reborngamers Review :

Talion is back folks, with his Elf Spirit Celebrimbor to slay more orcs in Mordor. This game starts immediately where Shadow of Mordor ended. Talion and his spirit companion have forged a New ring, with the powers of the New ring they intend to defeat Sauron. So be ready to defend fortress and to build an army to take the fight to Mordor. This game has a pretty good storyline, it's not powerful enough but it will do. Shadow of war’s environment is absolutely stunning. From war-torn cities, jungles, swamps, mountains to the volcanic environment this game has it all. It feels like a controlled open-world environment with a lot of orc killing.

The real hero as with the previous installment is the Nemesis system. Similar to the previous one this will contain powerful orc captains and war-chiefs. But the orcs are divided into tribes in this game. This gameplay experience is engaging, satisfying and strategic. You will not find a similar orc enlisted in this system, each and every one of the orcs is unique with various strengths and weakness. Players will face smaller and much bigger orcs in battles. The Orc captains will be Unique in combat, visuals and the gameplay differs in how the player defeats them. This game has more varieties of normal orcs, their weapon, armor, and Style of combat differ a lot.

Don't even think of failure in killing a captain, they will hunt you down through Mordor. When you encounter them again, they will be much harder to beat as they have got upgrades themselves by defeating you previously. This Nemesis system is well compensated by the New fortress system. As you progress through the game you will be able to dominate orcs and build your own army to fight against Mordor. To build an army you have to steal troops from the enemy, infiltrate their ranks and ultimately siege the enemy fortress. There is a lot do for the players in this new system. These sieges are the spotlight of the game it is spectacular, it's fun and challenging.

The combat in this game is smooth and challenging, players will have more fun with their melee, ranged style of gameplay. The character design is well detailed and satisfying. The experience points are gained by completing quests which allow players to upgrade your skills. These skills are carefully crafted and it makes combat much more attractive and engaging. Upgrading your equipment is pretty standard in the game.

Overall a game worth the wait, this game has it all, most importantly its enjoyable, The Unique nemesis system with the fortress upgrade makes it engaging and addictive. The visuals are great and the soundtrack is good, with awesome game mechanics and combat, you will be killing orcs for a long time.

Verdict :

For us, this game is one of the top games in 2017. If you are a lord of the rings fan this game is an absolute must to play. We will be eagerly waiting for the next installation of this fantastic series. The power of the ring is so stronger with this one.
