Quest of Vidhuraa is a run and escape Indie game Published and Developed by First Seed. It is said to be a very hard platformer game by the devs.

Quest of Vidhuraa starts when Vidhuraa’s grandfather tells him that he was separated from his parents in his early age. King Kaala has taken them prisoner in his castle, and Vidhuraa sets on the quest to rescue his parents. As said by the Devs themselves the game is punishing and Brutal. There are three handcrafted arenas called Forest, City and Castle. The castle level will be updated shortly.

Run and Jump are the two main actions featured in the whole game. The arrow Keys which is used for moving Vidhuraa and the up or Spacebar key to jump the obstacles. We recommend using the Up arrow for jumping rather than the spacebar for timing the jumps. Now don’t think that its easy to do these two actions. Starting levels of the game are normal. But when you advance more into the game it becomes much harder. Perfection and timing is the key for you to overcome these insane obstacles. I mean the Devs have made an open challenge to the player “ Try and Beat our game”.

Tapping the jump key twice enables the player to perform a chain jump. This feature was really hard to master but has a good impact on the game. Each and every obstacle which is placed must be timed to perfection if you have any chance of advancing the game. This is where the game truly shines. Many games try pleasing their gamers in different ways. But quest of Vidhuraa challenges its players to be the perfectionist.” Time it perfectly or Keep on dying. Well, Dying is the most common part you will do in this game. We felt it a little too hard on the players. Repetitive gameplay may lead to frustrations after many failures.

While the Idea of the challenge is great, pushing the players beyond their limits maybe unfair. The Devs have put in good work in constructing these obstacles. The variety of these obstacles is awesome. The spinning blades and shooting mechanisms are the real threat in the game. The disappearing blocks when you land are a real pain in the game. The level Design of the game was very good. Some levels are designed too hard, they had a checkpoint implemented within the game. Beleive us the checkpoint was a great relief to us. The art style of the game is pleasant, where the audio of the game is satisfactory. The character movement has a good flow to the game. We felt that the Devs would have done a much better job in character creation. All together the game has 60 cruel levels to finish the game. 40 levels are available now, and the remaining 20 Levels will be updated shortly.

Verdict:

Overall the game is good. Pushing their players to the limits is an amazing aspect First Seed has mastered. The Quest of Vithuraa is not against the Villian King kaala but against the game itself. This game is brutally Tough to beat. Good and creative aspects can be expected from this Indie Developer.
