Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands Review
After 5 years waiting fans of the tom clancy’s series get a new game, Ghost Recon is a tactical shooter game published by Ubisoft and developed by Ubisoft Paris.
Reborngamers Review :
The player starts the game with the character creation, and a lot of work has been put into character creation. The game starts with player dropped into Bolivia a country devastated by the war between the drug cartels and rebels. The drug cartels have overpowered the government, and have killed a Dea agent who was investigating the drug cartel, and from there its all about getting revenge and killing the Top Jefe El Sueno, who is the drug lord. The player and his 3 teammates of a special op team have been sent to put a stop to the drug cartel.
Then the revenge begins. Ghost recon’s wildlands map is huge, players have a lot to do when exploring, its beautiful and the depth of the environment is amazing. The fictional land of Bolivia is amazing but it lacks the interaction of the player to this detailed world.Exploration is done by riding a bike or helicopter and driving vehicles is all smooth. The game’s objective killing El Sueno is the primary goal for the player, whether it's the main mission or a side quest it all leads to the main objective, which is actually good.Everything you do will be connected to the main objective.
The storyline is not engaging and does not offer more. The gameplay is the real fun in this game, whether you roll out with your AI teammates or your friends its fun. The games co-operative feature is the ultimate enjoyment of the game. We recommend the players to play this game more tactical rather than go in guns blazing, of course, you can do both, but we felt that tactical approach is much more fun and you can use the game mechanics which the game has to offer. When u play the game you can get the feeling that “ I have done this already in Just cause and rainbow six “. Initially, its fun at the start when you progress through the game it will bog you down.
After completing missions you receive points to upgrade squad mates, weapons, and new abilities. The skill tree is good. The game just plays a linear role in killing a bunch of enemies in one region and moving to another region. When it comes to killing bosses and the Top jefe El Sueno it's much more engaging and up to the mark. Whether you are marking your enemies with your drones or synching up a shot to kill your enemies it just fun.The AI teammates aren’t the smartest but they can be effective with your tactical decisions. You also get rebel upgrade skills and call in support in a fight which is satisfying.
Verdict :
Ghost Recon has tons of things to do, but it lacks any motivation or engaging stuff to do it.with minor technical difficulties and less engaging storyline. Teaming up with your friends will make the game much more engaging and satisfying. Ghost Recon is mediocre in literally all aspects apart from multiplayer.
Pros
Effective and engaging multiplayer
Tactical ways to engage
Stealth play is awesome
Satisfying Sandbox style play
Cons
Minor Technical difficulties
Boring narrative
AI allies not effective
Less engaging world
Storyline is dull
