Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is an action role-playing video game developed by Ubisoft Quebec and published by Ubisoft. It is the 11th major title of the series.Ubisoft has done one hell of a job in turning this title into a masterpiece.
Reborngamers Review:
The combat, gameplay, storyline, graphics, audio all are just superb. Specifically, the story will get inside and strike your heart really soon while playing. This whole title is based on getting Alexios’ or Kassandra’s (the main character(s)) family back together. The game gives the freedom to choose either the brother (Alexios) or the sister (Kassandra) at the very start based on which the story progresses. There will be many times when your decision will completely shape the course of the game. Take your responsibility wisely (lol).
The main story starts and ends with the hero’s family being torn and then all come together; “the happy ending”, of course only if you choose so. The story is very well woven and articulated. It really gives an engaging experience with the character. I won’t say much about this otherwise it will ruin your own experience.
The combat sequence, moves, and counters are all just like you watch an awesome action movie. You have to be an all-rounder, keeping in mind to assign the superb abilities (3 types – assassin, warrior, hunter – based on your playstyle), check your inventory timely to pick the right weapon(s) and armor(s) for your hero, and upgrade your godly spear so that you can use your abilities to their fullest. And, how can I forget about the awesome counter attacks and last minute dodges? At least I have killed most of my opponents using the counters and dodges. They give a whole new dimension to the gameplay.
Gameplay experience of this game has been awesome for me. There are many new and interesting things included in this title like the Mercenaries tab and the Cultists tab. Mercenaries are just like the hero of the character and are basically bounty hunters and will hunt you down if there’s a bounty placed on your head by someone. Bounties are placed if you murder someone in public, or steal, or commit any kind of crime. You can either kill the one who placed the bounty on you or the bounty hunter or pay all the bounties. Every mercenary has their own tier and higher the bounty placed on you, better mercenaries will come to kill you. Now, the cultists are those who want to destroy the whole Greek empire. They are the one who are playing the bigger game of politics and are igniting the fight between Sparta and Athens to divide the Greek kingdom. You need to kill each one of them to really save Greece. But, leveling up for some of the main odyssey quests takes and wastes a huge amount of our time. My favorite events to level up quickly are the arena fights and the wars. My most lovable quests for leveling up are the quests of Gates of Atlantis where you battle the mythical creatures like the Sphinx, Minotaur, etc.
Ubisoft Quebec has done a smoking hot job in detailing each and every small things in the game. No wonder you enjoy every passing moment of the game. Just notice while playing the small things like, the dust particles dripping from the cave or building cracks and crevices, the water ripples, the leaves floating in air near the forests, etc.The dialogue audio sometimes was a bit low, but nothing to worry about. You will notice it only if you listen carefully and don’t use headphones.
Verdict:
I recommend my every gamer bros and sisters out there, reading this review of course, to immerse into this game at least once and enjoy being a Master Assassin. Another Masterpiece from Ubisoft.I really dont know how Ubisoft manages to deliver the best heroes for their Assassin Creed games. The characters in this game are the best of them all. Go save Greece!
