Dawn of War 3 Review
The Long awaited gaming sensation is back, War has once again begun in the planet of Acheron with 3 rival factions, the mighty space marines, the greedy orks and the ambitious Elder, tip the balance of battles by taking control of towering war machines.
Reborngamers Review :
Don’t get us wrong the game is good, but when compared to its predecessors it’s not fulfilling the expectations. We are die-hard fans of Dawn Of War series, it’s not up to our expectations. The storyline is not heavy enough, and its faction heroes are Over dominant in single player as well as multiplayer.
The campaign in this game is long but it lacks inspiration and thrilling experience which the previous dawn of the war games gave us.No option is available for you in the campaign for choosing your own faction which you want to play. Instead, the game dictates in which faction you should play, we just want to play in our terms, not the developer’s terms.
The factions strength’s are pretty equal in this game. The resource management of the game is by capturing controlled points and holding on to it which is good. As Previously said the heroes are Op but you cant win the campaign with that unit alone, you will need other units to get the real dawn of war experience, we felt the game has delivered in that aspect. The usual units like Assault Marines, predator tanks are available and its fun. The new Behemoth units bring Awe to the game which is awesome. The main flaw of this game is that it doesn’t let you make tactical and strategic decisions. It just forces you to attack, attack, and keep attacking in the campaign while consistently switching between factions. This system has failed miserably.
But still, it’s enjoyable and satisfying of killing the orcs with your space marines., the game looks good both in graphics and in gameplay measures, and it has good large scale battles. They have tried a new approach to the game with the usual aspects. It’s a shame that it didn’t work out well.
Verdict:
For us its a disappointment to the series which had the potential of a very good game. Not worth the praise for a dawn of war game.
