AFGC India – Official VBL International Series Qualifier
For the first time in India, gamers from the country can win a chance to participate in the Virtual Bundesliga (VBL) International Series Final in Germany.
The TAG Heuer Virtual Bundesliga expands its global eFootball initiative with collaboration with the Asian Football Gaming Championship (AFGC) for the first ever combined VBL International Series & AFGC Qualifier in India. Staged and managed by AFGC and Sports Roots, the tournament will feature FIFA19 players from New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata competing to become the pride of India and play at the VBL International Finals in Germany and AFGC International Finals. In addition to the Grand Prize for the eventual Champion and another first for Bundesliga fans in India, the participants stand a chance to win exclusive official Bundesliga merchandise including autographed Club jerseys, official Bundesliga match balls, replica Bundesliga trophies and much more.
The tournament will be held on FIFA 19 Kickoff Mode with Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 clubs only.
No players can use the same team as their opponent in any given match or use the same team twice in the series.
All games will be played on the Sony PlayStation 4.
Match Duration: 6 minutes per half
Dates and Venues for Regional Qualifiers:
Bengaluru - 6th April
New Delhi – 7th April
Mumbai – 14th April
Kolkata – 20st April
The Final Round of the Regional Qualifiers as well as the National Finals will adopt a home and away format, where the game will be decided by a golden goal if the aggregate scores are tied after the 90-minute duration in the second game.
Ultimately, one champion will be selected from each region and the four regional winners will take part in the National Finals in Kolkata that will eventually decide the Grand Champion from India.
